The Saplera prefers temperatures between 18°C and 26°C. Keep it indoors during the UAE’s extreme summer months, as prolonged exposure to high heat can stress the plant.

Light

Unlike many other plants, the Bird of Paradise enjoys being in direct sunlight, in fact it needs at least 6 hours of full sun exposure on a daily basis. If you can go up to 8 hours, that makes it even better.

Watering

You will be fine if you choose to water the Bird of Paradise plant every 1-2 weeks. The idea is to ensure that the soil is slightly moist at all times. Check and see if the soil is dry, if that’s the case you want to slowly start watering the soil. Make sure it’s fully saturated. Other than that, the general rules remain. Once the plant gets lighter, you will have to water it more.

Temperature

The plant prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 30°C, making it ideal for the UAE's indoor environments. Protect it from extreme heat outdoors during the summer by placing it in partial shade.
