Light

In general, Chamaedorea is seen as a low light plant. That doesn’t mean you should always keep it away from light. Like most plants, it loves staying in sunlight, but make sure that it’s bright and filtered sunlight if possible. If you have light coming from a north-facing window, place the Chamaedorea plant near that.

Watering

Chamaedorea doesn’t like overwatering. Instead, you want to keep the soil on the dry side rather than soggy. If the first inch of the soil is dry, then you want to water the plant, otherwise if it’s wet, you may need to wait for a day or two.

Snake Plant Care

Light

The Snake Plant can survive under most types of light. Direct sunlight can lead to leaf damage, even if it’s used as an indoor plant. That’s why you want to keep it in a part of your home where it has some shade as well.

Watering

It’s important to ensure that the soil is fully dried out before you water your Snake Plant. Insert your finger in its soil and if it’s still moist, wait for a bit until it’s fully dry. Checking different parts of the soil will ensure you’re not misled by a specific location. You should water your Snake Plant every 2-3 weeks.
